Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Christian Preschool Teacher's Aide/Float to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers by supervising children, assisting with instructional activities, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for young learners. As a float, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple classrooms, providing flexible support where needed to maintain a smooth and engaging learning experience. This paid position offers a rewarding chance to contribute to early childhood development while gaining valuable classroom experience. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, including lesson implementation and child supervision Support children's social, emotional, and developmental needs through positive interactions and behavior management Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures Help facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences that promote childhood development and early education principles Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily updates Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play Provide coverage across multiple classrooms as needed, supporting staff during busy periods or staff absences Skills Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and child supervision Knowledge of early childhood education practices, child development instruction, and behavior management techniques First aid and CPR certification (including pediatric first aid) with the ability to respond swiftly in emergencies Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the classroom environment Ability to follow mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Compassionate caregiving skills with a focus on nurturing two and three year olds during caregiving activities such as nannying or babysitting This role is ideal for passionate individuals eager to make a positive impact on young children's lives while developing their skills in early childhood education.
