Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Medical Assistant Instructor to join our educational team. In this vital role, you will leverage your expertise in medical assisting and healthcare education to train and mentor aspiring medical assistants. Your enthusiasm and knowledge will inspire students to excel in clinical skills, patient care, and healthcare procedures, preparing them for successful careers in the medical field. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging curriculum on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, patient care, and clinical procedures using modern learning technologies such as LMS (Learning Management System) and Blackboard. Supervise students during hands-on clinical practice, laboratory sessions, and simulated patient interactions to ensure safety and skill mastery. Incorporate relevant topics such as dental terminology, veterinary terminology, pediatric care, public health, and acute care into lesson plans to provide comprehensive training. Review student documentation, assessments, and clinical research projects to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards. Facilitate classroom discussions on hospital experience, veterinary critical care, nursing practices, and laboratory techniques to deepen understanding of healthcare environments. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives that integrate current trends in clinical research, clinical trials, and healthcare technology. Support students' professional growth by providing constructive feedback, mentoring on research projects, and guiding their understanding of working with diverse patient populations. Qualifications Proven experience in supervising or teaching in healthcare settings such as hospitals or clinics with a focus on adult education. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, nursing practices, and patient care protocols. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), Blackboard, and other learning technology platforms for course delivery. Experience with curriculum development for higher education or vocational training programs related to medical assisting or healthcare professions. Background in clinical research or clinical trials is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds including pediatrics and public health sectors. Prior classroom experience combined with veterinary or veterinary critical care knowledge is a plus.
