To provide a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where self concepts, are enhanced, independence encouraged and individuality respected. Key Responsibilities include but not limited to: Offer a program that meets the emotional, physical, intellectual and social needs of both the group and individual. Interact with the children and to encourage their involvement in activities. Prepare a warm and safe environment that is orderly, clean and appealing and permit's the child to grow and explore. Plan weekly lesson plans based on a curriculum outline. Observe, record and report significant individual and group behavior. Use appropriate and positive discipline and to train staff so that discipline is consistent. Maintain all records on files. Attend monthly staff meeting. Prepare materials needed in the program. Daily Job Description Greet parents and children that arrive for class. Write down any necessary communications from parents to the appropriate persons. Curriculum must be age appropriate and designed to help the development of age group that you are working with. Monitor behavior to provide a safe atmosphere for all children. At all times, you must maintain control of children and their behavior while inside/outside and especially while on field trips. Keep your room clean and sanitized. Perform daily cleaning with other staff. We are a small center to there are no specialists. Maintain with DCF, DOE and all in-service training. Must been able to drive transportation vans. Must have a valid Driver's License.
