We believe that nurturing creativity and curiosity in young children sets the foundation for future success in STEM careers and lifelong learning. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Assistant Teacher for one-year-old children to join our vibrant preschool team. In this role, you will support the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our youngest learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the groundwork for their developmental milestones while ensuring they feel loved and supported every day. Responsibilities Assist in supervising and caring for one-year-old children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support the implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development and curiosity Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences Help with diapering, feeding, and other basic childcare routines in accordance with established policies Participate in ongoing training related to child development instruction, behavior management, and mandated reporting laws Experience Previous experience working with infants or toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Familiarity with first aid, CPR certification, and pediatric emergency response procedures Hands-on experience in childcare, nannying, babysitting, or similar roles demonstrating responsibility for young children's safety and growth Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a lively and positive attitude
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
