ASAP Are you a patient and nurturing Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1-1 role? We are working with a welcoming primary school in the BS22 area of Weston-super-Mare who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1-1 support to a child with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with SEN experience who can bring a calm, consistent and supportive approach to help a child flourish in their learning and build their confidence.

The Role:

Providing dedicated 1-1 support to a primary aged pupil with additional needs Supporting the child to access classroom learning and stay engaged with activities Helping with transitions, daily routines and tasks throughout the school day Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours Supporting social skills, communication and emotional regulation Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to track progress Creating a calm, structured and nurturing environment for the child

We Are Looking For:

Experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting (essential) A calm, patient and reassuring approach Someone who enjoys being active and spending time outdoors A sporty or outdoorsy personality would be a great fit for this role A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Ability to stay positive and composed in challenging situations Strong communication and relationship building skills Reliability, professionalism and a commitment to safeguarding An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) Available to start immediately
