Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that support early childhood development, literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and positive behavior management. Support children's growth through individualized child development instruction and tailored activities for toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Maintain organized classroom management practices to promote smooth daily routines and effective learning experiences. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, ensuring a collaborative approach to education. Adhere to mandated reporting laws and ensure compliance with all child welfare regulations. Assist in classroom setup, lesson planning, and assessment using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor progress. Support staff in implementing early intervention strategies and applying best practices in childhood education. Participate in ongoing professional development related to curriculum development, behavior management, first aid/CPR certification, and other relevant areas. Qualifications Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; preschool or daycare experience preferred. Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education standards, and classroom management techniques. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to follow lesson plans while adapting activities to meet diverse needs of learners. Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or childhood development are a plus. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies. Passion for teaching young children and fostering their social-emotional growth through engaging activities such as literacy education, math games, physical education, and play-based learning.
