The ideal candidate is mature and responsible, with prior experience managing a preschool-age classroom. You should display a friendly demeanor, have a love for children, and strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both children and parents. We need a trustworthy individual who will show up for work every day and teach with enthusiasm!

Responsibilities:

Show up for work every day Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children and parents Teach, supervise, and care for children Plan weekly lessons using the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards Teach children using songs, stories, and activities that are developmentally appropriate Manage classroom safety through active supervision of children Maintain cleanliness of the classroom and other areas Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times Be a team player by demonstrating flexibility and willingness to help other team members Greet children and parents with a smile and a positive attitude Communicate clearly with children, colleagues, and families Perform daily tasks required for opening, operating, and closing a daycare center Answer and address phone inquires Identify problems and be a part of the solution Help in the kitchen or classrooms as needed whenever someone is absent Always follow BFTS, DECAL and Center Child Safety rules and policies Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Must have your own reliable transportation, not an Uber or Lyft BA or associate degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred CDA or TCC certification, or a willingness to complete certification within 6 months 6 months experience working in a licensed childcare facility Obtain and maintain state in-service training requirements CPR and First Aid certified; or willing to obtain it within the first 90 days Be able to see and hear well enough to respond to children's needs Be able to perform physical tasks, including reaching high, stooping to the child's level, sitting on the floor, rising from the floor, lifting 30 pounds, and standing for long periods of time
