POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Program Assistant for the Community Action Youth Leadership Initiative (CAYLI) works under the direct supervision of the Intergenerational Coordinator and is responsible for providing administrative and programmatic support for the Community Action Youth Leadership Initiative (CAYLI) Program within the Community Services Division. The Program Assistant assists with planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring program activities; maintaining participant records; preparing reports; coordinating meetings and events; and ensuring compliance with agency policies, funding requirements, and applicable regulations. This position also serves as a liaison with youth participants, families, community partners, and stakeholders to support the successful delivery of program services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the coordination efforts of the CAYLI program including but not limited to arranging field trips and workshops. Responsible for preparation and disbursement of CAYLI activities calendar for students, parents, volunteers and mentors. Responsible for keeping all participants, families and volunteers informed about actives and requirements of the program. Responsible for recruitment of students, mentors and volunteers. Responsible for assessment of client files according to program requirements. Monitor activities of the program and maintain contact with workshop instructors. Models' appropriate advocacy skills for clients in working with community agencies and professionals. Link clients with appropriate community resources as required/needed. Responsible for maintaining forms/case files relating to each client/family ensuring confidentiality as required by law and Coastal Georgia Area CAA, Inc. policy. Responsible for monitoring, inputting, and tracking all client information by use of the EasyTrak database on an on-going basis. Responsible for intake and reviewing application on families and/or individuals for the division programs. Responsible for case planning and appropriate follow-ups.
OTHER REPONSIBILITIES
- Participates in Community activities related to the goals and objectives of the Authority and activities sponsored by the Authority.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all resources available to low-income and other clients served by the Authority.
- Perform other duties as are assigned.
