Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as After School Program Staff. This role is essential in providing a supportive and engaging environment for students, helping them to thrive academically and socially. The ideal candidates will have a passion for working with older children and a commitment to fostering their growth and development through various educational and recreational activities. Duties Supervise and engage with students during program activities, ensuring a safe and positive environment. Implement classroom management strategies to maintain order and promote respectful interactions among students. Assist in the planning and execution of educational programs, including tutoring sessions, sports coaching, and arts & crafts. A MUST Provide support for students with special needs, utilizing behavior management techniques as necessary. Facilitate group activities that encourage teamwork, cooperation, and social skills development. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns. Participate in training sessions related to first aid, childhood development, and early childhood education. Qualifications Experience working with children in various capacities such as childcare, tutoring, or camp settings is preferred. Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus. First aid certification is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Background in early childhood education or related fields is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds. A genuine interest in fostering children's growth through educational support and recreational activities.
