Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this versatile role, you will support classroom activities, assist lead teachers, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for young children. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early childhood development while contributing to the growth and well-being of children in our care. The Assistant Teacher/Floater is ideal for individuals passionate about fostering learning and development in a dynamic daycare or preschool setting. Duties Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with developmental goals and curriculum standards Assist with child supervision during activities, transitions, meals, and outdoor play to ensure safety at all times Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary Adapt to different classroom settings as needed, providing flexible support across multiple age groups or classrooms Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) Strong classroom management skills to foster positive behavior and engagement Excellent communication skills for parent interactions Experience with child supervision, toddler care, infant care, and classroom activities Knowledge of Bright from the Start rules and regulations Enthusiasm for early childhood education and a proactive approach to supporting children's growth Must pass a criminal background check Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every child can thrive!
