Current Openings Jefferson Location Cook (Full-Time) Flowery Branch Location Lead Pre-K Teacher (Full-Time) Assistant Director (Full-Time) Responsibilities Responsibilities vary by position and may include: Creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Building positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members. Maintaining compliance with Bright from the Start licensing regulations and center policies. Supporting daily classroom or center operations. Supervising and mentoring staff (leadership positions). Assisting with enrollment, family communication, scheduling, and administrative duties (Assistant Director). Preparing nutritious meals while following CACFP guidelines, sanitation standards, and food safety procedures (Cook). QualificationsLead Pre-K Teacher Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required . Previous Pre-K teaching experience preferred. Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills. Knowledge of Bright from the Start standards and Quality Rated practices is a plus. Assistant Director Previous childcare management or leadership experience required. Strong knowledge of Bright from the Start licensing regulations. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to coach staff, build relationships with families, and oversee daily center operations. Director credentials are preferred or the ability to obtain them. Cook Previous commercial or childcare kitchen experience preferred. Knowledge of CACFP meal requirements is a plus. Ability to prepare nutritious meals, maintain inventory, and follow sanitation and food safety standards. Must be organized, dependable, and able to work independently. Why Join Storybrook Academy?
