In this vital role, you will work closely with youth, their families and teachers to foster a supportive and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help ensure that every student receives the personalized attention they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while developing your skills in support. Duties Assists individual for the purpose of implementing Individual Lesson Plan (IEP). Communicates with supervising instructional staff, and professional support personnel, families for the purpose of assisting in evaluating progress and/or implementing IEP objectives/goals. Confers with multidisciplinary team members as directed (e.g. classroom teacher, special ed teacher, administrator, psychologist, etc.) for the purpose of reporting observations, assisting in progress evaluation and/or implementing students' objectives. Other Functions Participates in meetings for the purpose of sharing information and/or improving skills/knowledge. Performs reasonably related job functions as may be required for the purpose of supporting other personnel in the completion of their work activities. Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. Qualifications All paraprofessionals must have at least a high school diploma or GED . Completion of two years of study at an institution of higher education An associate's degree or higher (preferred) Evidence of CPR/First Aid Certification Demonstrated evidence in working in Title I schools, courts, or with students in crisis. (preferred) Demonstrated evidence in preparing and documenting accurate records Ability to adhere to safety practices and procedures
