About us In partnership with families, St. Paul Lutheran School exists to develop the whole child as a Christian leader, by providing a Christ-centered, academically challenging education in a Nurturing environment. Christian School Preschool - 8th Grade We are looking for a caring Christian who loves children to support the lead Preschool teacher to provide engaging and fun classroom activities for 2 year old children. You will help children grow academically and socially. As a Preschool assistant teacher, you must enjoy working with little ones, have patience and be able to teach children in a positive way. You will be responsible for classroom set-up between activities and supervision of children outside the classroom on the playground and in the gymnasium. You will also need to change diapers. We expect you to inspire little minds to grow and be curious about the world around them. Ultimately, the main goal is to educate young kids in a safe environment so they can build a solid foundation in preparation for kindergarten. Teacher assistants work on school days and have one day off per week. The assistant in the Pre-K 2 classroom has Mondays off. General hours are 7:50 - 3:20 four days per week with an 30 minute unpaid lunch break. St. Paul Lutheran School follows a similar schedule to Fayette County Schools. This position has the potential to morph into a full time lead teacher position.
