Paraprofessional 1492 Kelton Drive, Stone Mountain, GA 30083 $35,000 a year - Full-time $35,000 a year - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our vibrant educational community. In this role, you will work closely with teachers, students, and families to support individualized learning experiences, foster inclusive classroom environments, and promote student success. Responsibilities Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy, math, and early childhood education. Support students with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs by providing tailored instructional assistance. Use communication skills including American Sign Language (ASL) to facilitate effective interactions with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies. Help develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet individual student IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals. Engage in lesson planning and curriculum development to support diverse learning styles and developmental stages. Provide childcare and toddler care support in preschool or Montessori settings, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young children. Experience Bachelors degree or at least two years of college credits. Prior experience working with children in early childhood education, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including those with autism or developmental disabilities. Familiarity with special education practices, IEP implementation, and behavior management strategies. Classroom experience involving lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and curriculum adaptation. Knowledge of Deaf education methods and experience using American Sign Language is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and students are essential for success in this role.
Pay:
$35,000.00 per year
