Thomasville, Georgia, with occasional travel throughout the nine-county service region (Brooks, Colquitt, Decatur, Early, Grady, Miller, Mitchell, Seminole, and Thomas) Position Summary Resilient Communities of Southwest Georgia seeks an organized, dependable, and community-minded individual to support regional outreach, training coordination, and program administration aimed at preventing childhood adversity, promoting Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) awareness, and strengthening resilient, trauma-informed communities. Working under the Director's guidance and in collaboration with the Program Coordinator, the Community Engagement and Program Assistant will assist in fostering relationships with regional partners, facilitating logistics for coalition activities, and embedding Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) principles into community engagement efforts. Essential ResponsibilitiesTraining and Event Support
- Assist with scheduling, registration, participant reminders, materials, setup for trainings, meetings, and community events.
- Prepare sign-in sheets, evaluation forms, handouts, and certificates, as applicable.
- Organize attendance records and evaluation responses following activities.
- Update the Activity Tracking Spreadsheet as needed.
- Support timely follow-up with participants, facilitators, host organizations, and community partners. Community and Partner Engagement
- Maintain current contact lists for coalition members, trainers, and community partners.
- Share approved training announcements, meeting notices, and prevention resources.
- Follow up with partners about participation, upcoming activities, and requested information.
- Help maintain a resource directory for communities across the nine-county region.
- Represent the program at designated outreach activities with staff guidance. Communications Support
- Create and update flyers, presentations, and outreach materials using Canva and established branding.
- Prepare social media content for review and approval.
- Help maintain a calendar of upcoming trainings, events, and awareness observances.
- Collect partner highlights, photographs, and participant feedback using established consent procedures. Program Documentation and Administrative Support
- Enter and maintain training, outreach, and partner engagement information in designated tracking tools.
- Compile participation totals and evaluation summaries for staff review.
- Track routine deadlines and send reminders for partner updates and reports.
- Prepare meeting materials, record action items, and organize shared program files.
- Assist with Youth Advisory Council meeting logistics, materials, and service activities as assigned. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience providing administrative, event, customer service, volunteer, or community program support.
- Strong organizational, time management, and written/verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Comfort using email, calendars, spreadsheets, and shared documents.
- Ability to work independently, follow through on assignments, and communicate when support is needed.
- Ability to interact respectfully with diverse populations, build positive relationships, and protect confidential information.
- Ability to travel occasionally within the nine-county service region. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a nonprofit, school, youth-serving organization, or community initiative.
- Familiarity with Canva, social media content creation, and online registration or survey tools.
- Knowledge of Southwest Georgia communities and resources.
- Interest in trauma-informed practices, mental health awareness, youth development, and family well-being.
