This position will provide various facets of support for Secondary students, including assignment completion, skill and content-based tutoring, and classroom support.
Hours are:
7:45am-4:15pm, Monday-Friday. High School diploma required, Bachelor degree preferred. A minimum of 3 years working with children in a school or educational setting is required. Position Job title Secondary Student Support Assistant Reports to Dean of Academics Employer Le Jardin Academy, located in Kailua, Hawai'i, is an International Baccalaureate World School offering students a world-class education from pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade. Its graduates attend the best universities across the world and are equipped to serve in whatever community they reside. Job Scope The position will provide various facets of support for Secondary students, including assignment completion, skill and content-based tutoring, and classroom support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide ATL or content tutoring to students during scheduled academic support blocks. Assist in the supervision of a Secondary Hale/Hui as assigned by Secondary Deans. This could include attending grade-level student support meetings and Hale/Hui planning meetings and training. Work with the Learning Support Specialist in the Secondary to provide appropriate support and interventions for Learning Support students. Help develop, coordinate, and communicate support block schedules for students identified as needing additional support. Collaborate with the Dean of Students, Dean of Academics, Learning Support Specialists, and teachers to ensure understanding of specific student needs and appropriate interventions. Join specific classes as additional instructional and/or classroom management support when needed. Other duties as assigned.
