Aug 10, 2026 Job Description Keystone Area Education Agency is anticipating multiple openings for Paraeducator•Interventionists within a Specialized Therapeutic Behavior Program beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. These positions are currently under development and are pending final program approval. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting students with significant social-emotional and behavioral needs. While experience is valued, we are especially interested in candidates who demonstrate patience, resilience, and a strong commitment to helping students succeed. Keystone AEA provides comprehensive training and ongoing support to help staff grow and be successful in this role. Program & Location Information This is a newly developed program for the 2026-2027 school year, located at the Keystone AEA facility in Elkader, Iowa. Position Overview Paraeducator•Interventionists provide essential educational and behavioral support to students under the direction of a certified teacher. This role focuses on one-to-one intensive behavior support, data collection, and assisting students in developing the skills needed to successfully engage in the learning environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive classroom while helping students build independence and successfully reintegrate into less restrictive environments.
