Job Description
ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a Paraeducator to support students with behavioral and learning challenges in a specialized school setting. In this on-site role, you will provide one-on-one and small-group support, implement behavior and instructional strategies designed by teachers and clinicians, and help maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom. You will collect data on student progress, assist with de-escalation as trained, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to improving students' academic, social, and life outcomes. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with behavioral and learning challenges. Implement behavior support plans and reinforcement strategies under clinical and teacher direction. Assist with classroom instruction, accommodations, and therapeutic activities. Collect and record student data on behavior, goals, and academic progress. Support a safe, structured, and positive learning environment. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support student goals. Assist with de-escalation and crisis-prevention strategies as trained. Help with daily routines, transitions, and student supervision throughout the day.
