:JOB SUMMARY
Assists the 21CCLC teacher in achieving their goals and objectives. Performs duties necessary to maintain the efficient operation of the class. Part-Time working 16-19 hours per week. Flexible hours/days may be available, if necessary.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Confers and works closely with 21CCLC teacher. Participates in meetings, conferences, workshops, etc. as requested by supervisor. Maintains a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Deals with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, polite manner. Knows and follows school and district policy. Displays a positive, warm, friendly attitude toward school programs and shows respect for leadership and programming decisions made by supervisors. Helps 21CCLC teacher maintain a positive classroom environment through the performance of duties such as making bulletin boards, developing interesting instructional materials, using equipment and material appropriately, keeping the room and work areas clean and orderly, teaching small instructional groups, etc. Supervises and manages students in a manner consistent with school settings. Disciplines students in a manner consistent with program, school, and teacher policies. Acts ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment. Assists with lesson plans and instructional materials adapted to the needs of these students. Assists in orders and inventories of supplies and equipment. Performs such duties as assigned by the supervisor. Education High School diploma or equivalent Experience Experience with 21st Century Community Learning Center programs preferred- All non-certificated staff not under contract are under "at-will employment". Their positions shall be considered in all respects "employment at will" and the employee is subject to discharge by the district at any time without cause.
