Job Description

Take the next step in your education career by supporting students in a vital 1:1 Paraprofessional role within a RISE classroom near Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time, contract position is designed for dedicated professionals who thrive in classroom settings, with consistent hours totaling 37.5 per week throughout the 26/27 school year.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Paraprofessional license required Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or similar support role strongly preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and administration Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with students and colleagues Demonstrated reliability, patience, and problem-solving abilities Familiarity with special education settings or behavioral support classrooms is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student in a RISE (Reaching Independence through Structured Education) classroom Assist the student with academic tasks, activities of daily living, and behavioral goals under the guidance of certified teachers Help maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that meets the students needs Track and report student progress, challenges, and successes to the classroom team Support classroom routines, safety protocols, and promote student engagement Participate in relevant staff meetings and professional development as required by the school schedule This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a students daily life and growth, while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative, educational setting.
