  • 5.0 Aurora, IL Job Details $15 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Working with students Full Job Description The Aurora West School District 129 is seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to serve as a Substitute Paraprofessional. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, patient, and able to work effectively with diverse student populations. Responsibilities
  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional activities and lesson plans.
  • Support students with special needs in their daily activities, including academic tasks and social interactions.
  • Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Facilitate small group activities and provide one-on-one assistance to students as needed.
  • Follow school policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety. Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction from teachers and administrators.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology is a plus.
Position is on an as needed basis for all district buildings.
Compensation:
$15/hour
