Qualifications & Experience:

Previous paraprofessional experience in a school setting strongly preferred Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs (elementary caseload experience is a plus) Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff Strong communication and organizational skills Reliable, compassionate, and adaptable when addressing a variety of classroom situations Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and a safe learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional activities and accommodations for elementary students Offer 1:1 and small group support for learners with special needs (academic, behavioral, and/or physical assistance as needed) Foster positive, inclusive classroom interactions that encourage student participation Help with classroom management and supervision to ensure a structured learning atmosphere Support daily routines, transitions, and individualized education plans (IEPs) under teacher direction Track and document student progress and collaborate in team meetings
