Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for an experienced paraprofessional to provide support at an elementary school for the 2026-2027 academic year in the northern Chicago suburbs. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, totaling 35 hours per week, and provides an essential role in classroom management and student support for young learners—including those with challenging behaviors.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct classroom assistance and instructional support for teachers Deliver targeted 1:1 support to students as needed during learning sessions and classroom activities Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment for elementary-aged children Help manage classroom behavior and engagement Assist students with toileting and personal care as required
Qualifications:
