Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate reliable, enthusiastic, and patient Preschool-Kindergarten Teaching Assistant to support our youngest students in developing strong foundational skills in Math and Reading. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is comfortable providing one-on-one academic support, and takes pride in helping students build confidence, independence, and positive learning habits. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in education, tutoring, childcare, or working with young children. We are also open to candidates who are eager to learn and have a genuine interest in helping children succeed. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized support to early learners as they complete Kumon Math and Reading worksheets. Guide students in developing foundational math, reading, writing, and fine-motor skills. Help students understand instructions and work independently rather than completing work for them. Monitor students' work and provide appropriate guidance and encouragement. Reinforce proper number and letter formation and other fundamental academic skills. Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment. Communicate student progress and observations to the Instructor. Assist with grading worksheets and other classroom responsibilities as needed. Follow Kumon's instructional approach and center procedures. Qualifications Previous experience working with children, tutoring, teaching, or childcare is preferred but not required. Patient, positive, and encouraging personality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced classroom environment. Strong attention to detail. Comfortable working with young children one-on-one. Willingness to learn and follow the Kumon Method. Ability to commit to the required schedule throughout the school year.
