Position Summary The Elementary Classroom Assistant is an essential member of our classroom team, partnering with the Elementary Directresses to create a warm, organized, and engaging learning environment where children can thrive. This position is ideal for someone looking for meaningful work during school hours. The successful candidate is dependable, flexible, positive, and committed to supporting both students and teachers with excellence. Primary Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom routines and activities. Help prepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials and learning spaces. Support students individually and in small groups as directed by the teacher. Encourage respectful behavior, responsibility, and positive relationships among students. Assist with classroom projects, field trips, special events, and other school activities. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with children Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active throughout the school day Practicing Catholic or willingness to support the Catholic mission of the school Who You Are You genuinely enjoy working with children.
