Who We Are:
Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 13,000 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. The District has 1 early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9th � 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

What We Need:
The Multi Media Specialist is directly responsible to the building principal in coordination with the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Responsibilities:
General Duties:
Prepare reports as requested by the District and Building Administration Maintain an inventory of books, computers, equipment, AV materials, and computer software Train and supervise student and adult volunteers Assist staff with primary level troubleshooting for software, computer, and printer related problems Assist students in media center with instructional assessments and computer application usage Provide for the organization and circulation of school multi-media center materials Related to
Staff:
Assist with loading and proper use of computer software programs by appointment before or after school Assist staff with computer and/or AV equipment problems before or after school Serve as a liaison between the building staff and District Technology Services Assist staff in locating, circulating, and utilizing library materials Related to
Students:
Assist students in locating multi media materials and equipment Circulate materials and maintain overdue lists. Notify students, parents, and building principal of the lost and or overdue materials Maintains annual inventory of books/resources, weeding and discarding work and unused books, and processing new materials Related to
Equipment/Software :
Follow procedure developed by district technician for primary level troubleshooting related to equipment malfunctions Follow procedure as instructed by district technician for software installation and access/usage Maintains working knowledge of software/educational programs
Miscellaneous Duties :
Complete beginning and end of year activities as established by District and Building Principal Maintain professional and cordial atmosphere in media center Maintains media center in a neat and orderly condition that is conducive to learning All other duties as assigned by
