(BL-SEAS-IUBLA) Department Information The Southeast Asian and ASEAN Studies (SEAS) Program is rooted in IU's rich tradition of international outreach and educational exchange in the region. Our growing program is developing a variety of academic opportunities that capture the vitality and a wide variety of cultures of Southeast Asia, focused on a wide range of disciplines. SEAS is dedicated to fostering a greater and more comprehensive understanding of Southeast Asia and its people, languages, and cultures. Job Summary Department Specific Responsibilities Assists with coordinating events or co-events, including hands-on support during the event, arranging hospitality, and communication. Helps create and participate in outreach in order to make the campus community aware of SEAS programs and classes. Creates and disseminates marketing materials like posters or digital signs. Represents SEAS at HLS meetings when the Director cannot attend - taking notes. Coordinates regular news and updates via the SEAS listserve and help keep website updated. Helps to monitor SEAS email. Assists with coordination and oversight of Fulbright Language Teaching Assistants (FLTAs) with the Director and HLS staff. Manages communication and scheduling for language assessment exams. EDUCATION
