Job Description

Developmental PreK Instructional Aide Position Summary:
28.5 hours per week The Developmental PreK Instructional Aide supports the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children with diverse learning needs.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist the teacher with daily classroom instruction, routines, activities, and transitions. Provide individualized support to students based on their developmental, academic, behavioral, and communication needs. Assist students with personal care, hygiene, feeding, mobility, and other daily living needs as appropriate. Support implementation of student goals and accommodations under the direction of the teacher and appropriate service providers. Promote positive social-emotional development, independence, communication, and appropriate classroom behaviors. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Supervise students during classroom activities, arrival/dismissal, recess, lunch, and other school activities. Communicate professionally and collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and educational records. Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or building administration.
