To Be Determined Job Description The following are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. The focus of this position is to assist in implementation of intensive behavior management strategies for students with autism and behavioral difficulties in the classroom. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working one on one or in a small group with students with behavioral needs or intense Autism needs. evaluating student needs and providing interventions to redirect behavior. implementing evidence based behavioral and Autism strategies designed to make positive and appropriate changes. assessing crisis situations and defusing situations using de-escalation and crisis management techniques. reinforcing appropriate behaviors and redirecting negative behavior. supporting the Social Emotional needs of the students. training on skills that would allow students to access education in their least restrictive environment. daily data collection. collaborate with staff to meet student-specific goals. Candidates must be: willing to participate in staff training in all relevant areas. physically able to restrain students for safety reasons if necessary.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess knowledge and experience with Autism and positive behavior support practices. Behavior background such as RBT, etc., preferred. This position earns $20.01 per hour. Position is paid 26 times a year. So total pay is spread out over the summer months. This position can be combined with driving a bus for full-time pay and benefits.
