Qualifications/Education:
16+ years of age
Essential Functions:
Ensure that children are safe and that their everyday needs are met - this may include diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding. Engage in positive interaction with children to build confidence and self-esteem. Ensure children are kept active, entertained, and engaged in developmental activities. Effectively discipline children who are misbehaving. Model and encourage good social skills, e.g. strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. Monitor and report developmental or safety concerns. •
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
Constant bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling Constantly alternating between sitting and standing Normally does not lift objects weighing more than 50lbs
Terms of Employment:
Classified Personnel position, 12-month contract, 30-hour work week. Does not require a teaching or administrative certificate. Salary to be determined by Board of Education.
