Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at Robinson Elementary as a Primary Instructional Aid. This full-time position is designed for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners in their educational journey. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to facilitate a positive and engaging learning environment, assist in the implementation of lesson plans, and provide individualized support to students. Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers in preparing and implementing instructional materials and activities. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in various subjects, ensuring they understand the material and can apply it effectively. Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers regarding individual student needs and achievements. Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Participate in the planning and execution of classroom activities, including educational games, projects, and field trips. Support students with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptations as necessary. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative educational experience. Assist with classroom management and discipline, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Attend staff meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in education or a related field preferred. Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents. Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology. Knowledge of child development and effective instructional strategies is a plus. Ability to adapt to various situations and manage multiple tasks effectively. Must pass background checks as required by school policy.
