Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:

Supports classroom instruction — assists teachers with daily lessons, classroom supervision, learning-environment setup, and positive-reinforcement classroom management. Provides academic and clerical assistance — helps with filing, grading, copying, equipment operation, and accurate completion of required paperwork. Maintains professionalism & confidentiality — protects student records, follows communication protocols, and adheres to school, facility, and agency policies. Models positive behavior — demonstrates appropriate grooming, conduct, fairness, respect, and constructive communication for youth in secure care. Supports classroom management — supervises students when the teacher is out, assists with supervision during instruction, and helps maintain a clean, safe learning environment. Engages in professional development — participates in training sessions and workshops to strengthen instructional skills and support student learning. Demonstrates reliability and integrity — arrives punctually, communicates absences promptly, and refrains from inappropriate language, criticism, or behavior.
