Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and supervising children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play. Provide personalized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism, ensuring inclusive participation. Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by organizing materials, monitoring behavior, and adhering to health and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR procedures. Collaborate with teachers on lesson delivery, classroom behavior management strategies, and educational technology integration to enhance student engagement. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through updates and meetings. Assist with documentation requirements for educational compliance and regulations such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), ensuring accurate record-keeping for assessments and student development. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom behavior management, and special education strategies. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with educational technologies and computers used for instructional purposes. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a strong plus. Strong organizational skills including proofreading, tutoring, mentoring abilities, and understanding of educational compliance standards such as ESSA. Ability to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs while maintaining a positive attitude and energetic approach.
