Aug 26, 2026 Job Description Responsibilities will include:- Working as an Instructional Assistant (IA) in the Learning Lab each day The Learning Lab is a substantially separate behavior program. IA's assist students in working in their classroom and pushing into inclusion classes. While working with individual students or in small groups, the paraprofessional will provide the following:
- Help students complete classroom assignments and homework
- Assist teacher with the implementation of lesson plans
- Help create a calm and respectful classroom environment
- Manage student behaviors by teaching/reinforcing problem solving skills and providing de-escalation techniques
- Regularly communicate with teacher and other school staff regarding academic, social and behavioral progress
- Must be willing to secure and sustain a 7D driver's license to assist in driving students to volunteer and work study sites.
- Salary range: $18.24 - $29.18 per hour depending on experience Must be willing to become CPI certified. Assist teacher with social skills implementation, activities of daily living, community outings, and behavioral supports.
- Under the direction of the Teacher, carry out duties specific to family and community based outreach component.
