Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support capacity. Familiarity or experience working with students who have emotional disorders is strongly preferred. Ability to build trusting, respectful relationships with students, staff, and families. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or relevant certification is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Support one or more students in achieving their academic and behavioral goals. Implement classroom strategies as directed by the supervising teacher. Assist with the organization and adaptation of instructional materials. Help reinforce lessons and encourage positive participation. Monitor student progress and communicate updates to instructional staff. Uphold a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom climate.
