Lawrence Public Family Academy is seeking a Paraprofessional / Instructional Aide to support students and teachers across multiple grade levels. The paraprofessional is responsible for assisting the classroom teacher and students in activities directly related to instruction and learning.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate possesses a belief that all students are capable of learning. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Assisting in the education and social development of students under the direction and guidance of general or special education teachers (remotely and/or in person)
- Providing support for students as determined by needs
- Assisting in administration of state/district wide assessments
- Implementing small group instruction as directed by the lead teacher, in a variety of content areas
- Maintaining confidentiality of student information
- Managing student behavior under the direction of lead classroom teacher
- Completing additional duties as assigned
- Participating in the Warrior
S.T.R.O.N.G.
schoolwide positive behavior support protocols- Substitute teach as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Required certifications: Associate's degree or completion of the ParaPro Exam
