October 2026The Special Education Office is looking for a highly skilled, organized, and motivated person to perform office and clerical responsibilities. The successful candidate will have prior administrative/secretarial experience.
Qualifications:
High school graduate; BA preferred;Two or more years of secretarial experience;Working knowledge of office procedures and operation of common office equipment;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Highly organized and extremely detail oriented;Familiarity with special education lawMaintain confidentiality and discretion in dealing with classified information;Ability to use tact, diplomacy, and judgment when working with a variety of constituencies;Positive attitude and a willingness to help others;Strong problem-solving skills;Excellent computer skills (Google, Microsoft, Adobe);
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support for special education staffing and assignments Process incident and restraint reports through the DESE portalProvide administrative support for McKinney-Vento and Foster Care Assist in the file coordination of students moving into districtManage timeline tracking with service providers and team chairs Support in the staffing and enrollment for Extended School Year Track special education students exit from school. Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Special Education
