The Sandwich Middle High School is searching for three (3) Educational Support Professionals (ESPs) to support students receiving special education services 1:1, in classrooms, in small groups and/or in a subseparate classroom. This is a full time position working 6.5 hours per day.

QUALIFICATIONS / ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS

Experience working with special education students is preferred. Associate degree preferred but not required. Organization, patience, and a sense of humor required.

REPORTS TO

Building Principal/Assistant Principal and/or Supervisor

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

(include but are not limited to): Work cooperatively with the teachers, supervisors, and additional ESPs. Support students individually or in small groups during classroom instruction. Provide direct instruction of new material under the supervision of a teacher, if necessary. Provide academic, social, and behavioral assistance in classrooms settings. Assist with duties as required by the building principal and teacher. Participate in district-assigned professional development.

Per the ESP Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the Sandwich website .
