We are seeking a Teacher to support a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment for children of different ages at the Undermountain Childcare Center at Berkshire School. This role works collaboratively with colleagues and families to promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in a licensed childcare setting.

Job Functions/Major Responsibilities:

Provide attentive, responsive care in a developmentally appropriate learning environment. Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities and routines. Maintain consistent supervision to ensure children's safety at all times. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Follow all Massachusetts EEC licensing requirements, health regulations, and safety protocols. Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding children's daily experiences and needs. Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Undermountain Childcare Center.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

Minimum of one year of childcare experience in a licensed childcare facility. Knowledge of development and developmentally appropriate practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Ability to lift and carry children and materials up to 50 pounds, sit on the floor, stand, bend, and move frequently throughout the day, and respond quickly to children's needs, including emergencies.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of CORI/SORI and other background checks as required by Berkshire School and applicable law. Clean driving record.

Salary Range:
