Full Job Description DUTIES:
1. Provides overall support to the classroom teacher and students, based on the needs of the classroom;2. Assists classroom teacher in preparing lessons and related materials;3. Incorporates knowledge of student learning styles and child development to assist student learning;4. Recognizes when teaching and learning strategies are not successful and seeks the guidance of the classroom teacher to adapt assistance accordingly;5. Provides support in crisis situations using district-approved safety/restraint protocol when necessary;6. Other duties, as required
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work involves student interaction, and is performed primarily in a classroom setting. Extended periods of walking, standing, bending, and stooping to assist students, may be necessary.
