Job Description

The Ashburnham-Westminster Regional School District is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and student-centered candidates for the position of Special Education Paraeducator at Westminster Elementary School. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting students' academic, social, behavioral, and emotional growth in a collaborative and inclusive school community.

The successful candidate will assist with the instruction, supervision, and support of students in inclusion, small group, and individual settings under the direction of teachers, related service providers, and administrators. Responsibilities include implementing accommodations and supports outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), promoting student independence, and fostering a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills, the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues, and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of learners. Candidates must be able to maintain confidentiality, work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and support students with professionalism, patience, and compassion.
