Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Sewing Instructor to join our creative education team! In this vital role, you will support the lead instructor in delivering engaging sewing lessons and workshops tailored for learners of all ages. Your enthusiasm for sewing, combined with your ability to foster a positive learning environment, will inspire students to develop their skills and express their creativity. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where craftsmanship and education intersect, helping individuals of diverse backgrounds explore the art of sewing and textile arts. Responsibilities Assist in preparing sewing classrooms and materials for daily lessons and special projects Support the lead instructor in delivering comprehensive sewing instruction, including basic techniques and advanced skills Help manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe, organized, and inclusive environment for all students Maintain clean and organized sewing stations, tools, and supplies to promote safety and efficiency Contribute to curriculum development by providing feedback on lesson plans and student progress Support students with special needs or early childhood education requirements, adapting teaching methods as necessary Experience Basic Sewing Experience Classroom experience or teaching background, especially working with children or adults in educational settings is a plus Experience managing classroom behavior and fostering positive engagement among students Familiarity with working with children Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners of all ages Join us to nurture creativity through sewing while making a meaningful impact on our community's learners!
