9670438-04106 Job Description A contract opportunity is available for skilled paraprofessionals eager to make a difference in an educational setting near South Portland, ME. We are actively searching for educational technicians (also known as BHPs) passionate about supporting student growth and classroom success. By joining this dynamic school environment, you will play a vital role in assisting teachers and guiding students toward achievement.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of completed college coursework; 3 years preferred to qualify as an Ed Tech III Experience working with children in educational, behavioral health, or similar settings Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff Dependability, patience, and a supportive attitude
Key Responsibilities:
Provide instructional support to students under the guidance of certified teachers Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and other instructional plans Monitor student progress and report observations to educational staff Help adapt classroom activities and materials to fit diverse learning needs Support classroom management by reinforcing expectations and routines Participate in team meetings and contribute to the success of the academic program This contract role provides valuable experience for those seeking to build or further a career in education.
