We're searching for qualified paraprofessionals to join us in delivering high-quality learning and support in our elementary schools. The ideal candidate has experience in this role and is flexible in adapting to the changing demands of a classroom. This person will work closely with teachers and provide support by working with students individually and in groups. In order to thrive in this role, the paraprofessional must be caring, compassionate, and committed to each student's success. You'll be a steady, familiar presence in the classroom: someone students can count on, and someone teachers can lean on. It's hands-on, relationship-driven work with a direct line to impact - no guessing whether what you do matters. What You'll Do Work directly with classroom teachers to support instruction for individuals and small groups Help implement lesson plans, learning activities, and behavior support strategies Provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs, including IEP-supported students Monitor and document student progress, and communicate observations to the classroom teacher Assist with classroom management, transitions, and day-to-day operations Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for every student What You'll Need Associate's or Bachelor's degree (60+ college credits, official transcripts required per school-district guidelines) or a valid Michigan Paraprofessional Certification A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their academic and social-emotional growth Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work closely with students, parents, staff and community in a dynamic environment Successful completion of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training, preferred Ability to attend to personal health care and/or behavioral needs of assigned students while following prescribed behavioral management or instructional programs School-based or classroom experience preferred, but not required Patience, reliability, and a team-first mindset
