In this dynamic role, you will support classroom teachers in creating engaging, nurturing, and inclusive learning environments for young children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning, promote developmental growth, and ensure every child feels valued and supported. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, social-emotional development, and early childhood skills. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance to meet individual learning goals. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques aligned with educational regulations. Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress, document developmental milestones, and communicate observations to parents and guardians. Use educational technologies such as computers and interactive tools to enhance learning experiences. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that complies with health, safety, and educational standards. Goals & Behavior of our Ideal Candidates! Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management strategies. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members. Ability to supervise children safely while demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism. Certification in first aid and CPR; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Understanding of the State of Michigan licensing compliance standards. Proficiency with educational technologies, such as the Procare app, to support classroom activities.
