Job Overview The GSRP Associate Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that supports the physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Associate Teacher will implement, in alignment with the Lead Teacher, the GSRP curriculum with fidelity, adhere to the GSRP Program Quality Standards, and work collaboratively with families, and support staff to ensure positive outcomes for all children. Schedule Monday-Thursday; 8:00am-4:00pm Friday; 8:00am-12:00pm (Fridays are typically half-days, with occasional full-day Fridays scheduled for required trainings, professional development, or meetings) Our GSRP teachers follow the local school district's calendar, with Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summers OFF! Responsibilities Support lead teachers in implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards. Assist with classroom management to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for children of diverse abilities and backgrounds Help facilitate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, behavior management, and early childhood education best practices Maintain open communication with co-workers, parents, and caregivers to ensure children's needs are met effectively Assist in classroom organization, material preparation, and daily routines such as snack time, nap time, and transitions Collaborate with teachers on curriculum development and classroom management assistance to enhance educational experiences for all students Experience An associate degree (AA) in early childhood education or child development, or A valid Center-Based Preschool CDA credential Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in early childhood education, preferably in a preschool setting. Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and experience with research-based curriculums. Experience working with diverse populations and ability to individualize instruction based on children's needs.
