is looking for a caring, dependable, and team-oriented professional to join our Head Start classroom teams starting with the 2026-27 school year. As an Assistant Classroom Coordinator, you'll help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment where young children can build confidence, develop new skills, and thrive.

HOURLY WAGE
$13.84
  • $18.
85 PER HOUR Wage based on the ESP II Master Agreement Pay Scale.

WHAT YOU'LL DO SUPPORT THE CLASSROOM
Work alongside classroom coordinators and staff to help provide an effective, organized, and engaging Head Start classroom.
SUPPORT CHILD DEVELOPMENT
Help create an environment that encourages the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of each child.
BUILD A SAFE & WELCOMING SPACE
Help maintain a classroom where children feel safe, supported, included, and ready to learn.
WORK AS A TEAM
Collaborate with classroom staff, families, volunteers, and service area coordinators to support children and families.
SUPPORT LEARNING
Assist with High/Scope Curriculum activities, lesson planning, classroom routines, documentation, and child progress activities.
CONNECT WITH FAMILIES
Help maintain positive relationships with parents and families while supporting their participation in the Head Start program.
WHAT YOU BRING REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent and commitment to obtaining a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential within two years of hire OR Associate Degree in Early Childhood or related field Physical ability to lift, manage, and interact with children of varying sizes and abilities Ability to meet physical requirements as determined by a physical examination upon hire
PREFERRED
At least one year of successful experience in a licensed preschool or child care program Knowledge of child growth and development Sensitivity to the needs of young children and their families Ability to work effectively as part of a classroom team Valid driver's license if driving is required for the assignment
