The ideal candidate enjoys working with infants and toddlers, communicates respectfully, and understands the importance of responsive care and consistent routines. Position Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom routines and age-appropriate learning activities. Provide warm, responsive care through talking, singing, reading, floor play, and comforting children. Support feeding, diapering, toileting, and rest routines while following each child's individual needs. Maintain active supervision and follow safe sleep, health, safety, and sanitation procedures. Help children develop early language, movement, social, and self-help skills. Use positive guidance and help children manage emotions. Keep classrooms, toys, and equipment clean and organized. Accurately document meals, diaper changes, rest periods, and daily activities using Brightwheel. Communicate professionally with families and maintain confidentiality. Work cooperatively with staff and arrive on time to maintain consistent classroom coverage. Follow center policies and applicable Michigan child care licensing requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience caring for infants and toddlers in a child care setting preferred. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or willingness to work toward one, preferred. Ability to meet applicable background screening and employment requirements. Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain required training. Patience, reliability, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Ability to perform essential classroom duties, including floor-level play and safely lifting and carrying young children, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
