Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Bring your enthusiasm and dedication to a rewarding opportunity supporting young adults as a paraprofessional in an Adult Transition Program. This contract position plays a vital role in helping students ages 18-26 develop skills for academic, community, and workplace success. With consistent hours from 7:45 am to roughly 3:00 pm, you'll be part of a dynamic environment that values hands-on learning and meaningful engagement.
Desired Experience & Skills:
Experience as a paraprofessional or classroom aide preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build rapport and support diverse learners aged 18-26 Flexibility to assist in classroom settings, on community outings, and at local job sites Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude
What You'll Do:
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to provide individualized and group support Accompany students during community activities and job placements, promoting independence and safety Assist in academic, vocational, and life skills instruction Help supervise, encourage, and redirect students as needed Support students in applying classroom concepts in real-world environments This is an excellent chance to make a lasting impact, helping students gain confidence and practical abilities for their future.
