You'll move between classrooms throughout the building, partnering with teachers and providing hands-on support to help ensure children receive safe, attentive, and engaging care.

Your day may include:

Supporting teachers in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms Helping implement developmentally appropriate activities and classroom curriculum Engaging with children through play, activities, books, music, and conversation Supporting positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom expectations Supervising children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and transitions Assisting with daily routines and classroom needs Helping with meals, snacks, and classroom cleanup Assisting with diapering and other care routines as appropriate for the age group Maintaining clean, safe, and organized classroom environments Building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Stepping into different classrooms as needed to provide additional teaching support Following ECA policies and all applicable Minnesota licensing, health, and safety requirements No two days will be exactly the same! This position is a great fit for someone who is flexible, enjoys staying busy, and loves getting to know children and teachers throughout the entire center. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, patient, flexible, positive, and genuinely enjoys working with children. Because this is an Assistant Teacher position, candidates must meet the applicable Minnesota licensing qualifications for the role.

Qualifications include:

Ability to meet Minnesota licensing requirements for an Assistant Teacher Experience working with children in a childcare, preschool, or early childhood setting preferred Understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Ability to work well with different teachers, classrooms, and age groups A positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependability and consistent attendance CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and training Schedule Part-Time | Approximately 24 hours per week Monday-Friday This is an in-person position at our Belle Plaine, MN location. Pay Pay is based on qualifications and relevant experience.
